“The Glass Key” is an influential 1942 film noir classic based on a 1931 Dashiell Hammett novel starring Alan Ladd & Veronica Lake. This was the 2nd of 4 films successfully teaming Lake & Ladd. Later classic film noirs like “The Big Sleep” borrowed plot aspects & design from this influential film. Original posters from this film are all very attractive & highly desirable by major collectors, including this richly designed stone litho Argentinean 1-sheet featuring an excellent, richly colored image of Lake. It is a special find for collectors of the noir genre.
This original, vintage & unrestored Argentinean One Sheet (29" X 43.75”) is in near mint condition with very few signs of use besides minor wear & tear & age toning. Three small pieces of tape placed where vertical and horizontal fold lines were crossed to protect this poster. Overall, the vividly colorful beautifully designed artwork displays well despite the minor imperfections. The stone litho artwork really is striking!
